Accepted Payment Methods
We accept a variety of secure payment methods for your convenience, including:
- Credit cards
- Debit cards
- UPI (Unified Payments Interface)
- Net banking
- Other approved digital payment methods
Please note that Cash on Delivery (COD) is not available for purchases. All payments must be made in full at the time of order placement.
Fraud Prevention Measures
For the safety of our customers and our business, all transactions are subject to verification and security checks. If we detect or suspect any fraudulent activity or payment, we reserve the right to cancel the order and refund the payment to the original source. We will never make unsolicited phone calls or send emails asking for one-time passwords (OTP) or personal information. Be vigilant against any such requests — they are fraudulent and not from us. If you receive any suspicious communication claiming to be from Design Foundry, do not share any information and contact our team immediately.
Refund Processing
If a refund is applicable (for example, due to order cancellation or an approved return), it will be processed through the same payment method originally used for the purchase. The timeline for receiving a refund can vary based on your bank’s or payment gateway’s processing policies. In general, refunds are completed within 5-7 business days after we initiate them. We will notify you once a refund is processed, but please note that your bank or card issuer controls the exact timing of the credit to your account.
Transaction Fees
We do not charge any additional processing fees beyond the total amount shown at checkout. However, any transaction fees or charges that your bank or payment provider may impose (for example, credit card transaction fees, foreign currency charges, or UPI handling fees) are your responsibility as the customer. We are not liable for any such fees charged by your financial institution. The final price you pay at checkout is inclusive of all product costs, applicable taxes, and standard shipping fees as communicated, with no hidden charges from our side.
Failed Transactions
In rare cases where a transaction fails but funds are debited from your account, those funds are usually held temporarily by your bank or payment gateway. Typically, the amount will be automatically reversed to your account by your bank or the payment processor within their standard processing timeframe (usually a few business days). If a payment failure occurs, we recommend first checking with your bank or payment provider to confirm whether a reversal is already in process. If the debited amount is not credited back within a reasonable time, you can then contact our team with the transaction details for assistance. Please be aware that the reversal process is managed by your bank or payment service, and the timeline may vary depending on the institution.
Data Security and Payment Processing
Your payment security is our priority. We do not store your credit card information or other sensitive payment data on our servers. All payments are processed securely through trusted third-party payment gateways (such as Razorpay) which are PCI-DSS compliant and employ robust encryption. This means your card details, UPI PINs, passwords, and other payment credentials are transmitted securely and handled in accordance with industry-standard security protocols. We are committed to protecting your personal information and use secure technologies and procedures to safeguard all transactions on our site.
Refund and Return Policy
- Eligibility: Customers may request a refund or replacement if the product is delivered in a damaged condition or has significant manufacturing defects. The request must be made within 72 hours of delivery of the product.
- Proof Requirement: All refund or replacement requests must include clear photographic evidence with a timestamp of the damage or defect. This helps us verify the issue and process your claim efficiently.
- Process: Once we receive your evidence and approve the claim, we will arrange for either a replacement shipment or a full refund of the purchase price. We will inform you of the next steps (such as return shipping or disposal of the damaged item) as applicable.
- Exclusions: Minor cosmetic variances do not qualify as significant defects. Also, requests made after 72 hours of delivery may not be eligible under this policy. We encourage you to inspect your product as soon as it arrives.
Pre-Order Specifics
If you place a pre-order, the following terms apply in addition to the standard terms:
- Expected Delivery Date: For the first lot of pre-orders, the expected dispatch or delivery date is on or before April 14th. We will make our best effort to ship by this date. You will be notified once your pre-ordered product is shipped.
- Possible Delays: Please note that the delivery date is an estimate. Unforeseen circumstances (such as supply chain issues, delays in production, logistics disruptions, or force majeure events) may cause delays. In such cases, we will keep you informed of the new expected shipping or delivery timeline. We appreciate your patience if these rare delays occur.
- Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your pre-order for a full refund before 24 hours from the time the order is placed. To cancel, contact our team with your order details. Once the product has been shipped (or is in the final stages of preparation for shipment), cancellations is not possible. After the order is fulfilled our standard Refund and Return Policy (see Section 1) will apply.
- Communication: We will send you a confirmation when you place a pre-order. Prior to dispatch, we may also send a reminder or a notice. If there are significant delays beyond the expected date, we will notify you via email or phone using the contact information you provided.
Intellectual Property
- Ownership: All designs, images, illustrations, text, and content are the exclusive intellectual property of Design Foundry® (or its content licensors). This includes the artwork, layout, and any accompanying written content.
- Usage Restrictions: You are purchasing the product for personal use and enjoyment. This purchase does not transfer any intellectual property rights to you. You may not reproduce, scan, photocopy, publish, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or otherwise use any part of the product and its contents for any commercial purpose or public display without our prior written permission.
- Enforcement: Unauthorised use of our intellectual property is strictly prohibited and may violate copyright, trademark, and other laws. Design Foundry® reserves the right to take legal action against any misuse of the product, content or our trademarks.
Limited Liability and Disclaimers
- Informational Use: The "One Day at a Time" daily Indian calendar is provided for informational, educational, and reflective purposes only. While it may include cultural information, historical dates, astronomical data (such as moon phases or festival dates), or inspirational content, it should not be relied upon as professional advice or an authoritative reference for any specific personal or business decisions. Always consult appropriate industry specialists for expert advice rather than relying solely on calendar content.
- Content Accuracy: We strive to ensure that all cultural, historical, and astronomical content in the calendar is accurate and up-to-date. However, misprints or errors may occur. Design Foundry® is not liable for any errors, omissions, or misinterpretations of the information presented. For example, if a festival date or astronomical detail is incorrect or interpreted differently, we are not responsible for any consequences arising from such error or interpretation.
- Use of Product: By using the product, you assume responsibility for how you interpret and apply its content. Design Foundry® will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of the product. In case of a dispute, our total liability for any claim related to the product will not exceed the price you paid for the product itself.
- No Warranties: Except as expressly provided in the Refund and Return Policy (Section 1), the product is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the content will meet your expectations or that the product will be free of minor defects.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
- Governing Law: These terms and any transactions are governed by the laws of India, including applicable consumer protection laws. This ensures that your rights as a consumer are protected under Indian law.
- Jurisdiction: In the event of any disputes or claims arising from your purchase or use of the product, you agree that such disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This means any legal action against Design Foundry® regarding the product must be brought in a court located in Chennai.
- Dispute Resolution: We genuinely hope to resolve any customer concerns amicably. Customers are encouraged to contact our team to discuss and resolve any issues before pursuing formal legal action. We will make a good-faith effort to address and settle disputes, whether through our team resolution or mediation, as appropriate.
Customer Data and Privacy
- Data Collection: When you place an order or pre-order, we will collect certain personal information (such as your name, address, contact number, and email) to process your purchase and deliver the product. We may also collect data related to your usage of our website or interactions (e.g. via cookies or analytics) for improving our services and marketing purposes.
- Use of Data: All customer data is handled in compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations. We follow progressive privacy practices that respect your rights as a consumer. This means we aim to be transparent about how we use your information and to give you control over your personal data where possible. Your information may be used to complete your order, provide customer service, and inform you of updates or promotions related to Design Foundry® products.
- Marketing Communications: By purchasing, you may be added to our mailing list or notified of future products and offers. You have the choice to opt out of non-essential communications. If you prefer not to receive marketing emails or messages, you can unsubscribe or contact us to update your preferences. We will honor such requests in a timely manner.
- No Unauthorised Sharing: We do not share or sell your personal data to third parties for their independent marketing purposes without your explicit consent. We value your privacy. Your details will mainly be shared only with trusted partners involved in fulfilling your order (for example, courier services for shipping and payment gateways for processing your payment) or as required by law. Any third-party service providers we use are also obligated to protect your data and use it only for the specified purposes.
- Data Security: We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access or disclosure. However, no method of data storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot warrant absolute security.
